Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- The nationwide campaign for building and remodeling schools has been brisk in the DPRK, true to the Party's idea of attaching importance to education.
Many schools have been built or remodeled in the first half of the year.
In Jagang Province, where a dynamic campaign for building model schools is underway, the construction of two schools has finished and the building of other schools is in the final stage.
North Hwanghae Province has finished the structural construction of several model schools.
The structural construction of model schools planned for this year has been completed in Anju City of South Phyongan Province, Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province and other cities and counties.
The work for remodeling and modernizing schools has also been pushed forward across the country. Remodeling of tens of schools in different parts of the country has been carried out by 70 percent.
Pyongyang City has completed the remodeling of nine schools after setting a high goal to modernize tens of schools this year.
North Hwanghae Province has remodeled five schools.
Thousands of classrooms have been remodeled into multi-function ones across the country.
Building and remodeling of teacher's training colleges is also brisk in provinces.
