The cooperative farms of North Hwanghae Province are all out to protect their crops from drought damage.
The officials and working people of Sariwon City and Hwangju County have bestirred themselves vigorously to withstand a drought.
The city arranges for all the motor vehicles of not only its cooperative farms but also its other units to be used for transporting water to the fields of the farms. In addition, it ensures that its labor force is rationally allotted and effectively used to minimize damage from a drought.
The Hwangju County Party Committee spurs the officials and working people of the county with ideological intensity to work hard as one to overcome a drought deeply aware that it also serves to realize the ideas of the Party and defend its policies. Besides, it sees to it that all the tractors, cultivators and other transporters of the county are used to water the fields of its farms concentratedly.
Fully conscious that they join agricultural workers in being responsible for the agriculture of the country, a main sector of its socialist economic construction the officials and working people of other city and counties of the province, too, work in the fields by the sweat of their brows to wet them.
The province adopts active measures to sink wells and build pools in great numbers and install tube wells to tap sources of water to the maximum and cope with a prolonged drought.
The province reviews the prevention of drought damage in detail every day and makes sure that its officials and working people obviate defects in it and work perseveringly with redoubled courage to resist a drought.
