The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum in the capital Pyongyang is a base for educating the younger generations in the exploits performed by the great leader Kim Il Sung for war victory and the spirit of national defence displayed by the former generations.
It was opened on August 17, Juche 42(1953), 20 days after the end of the war, and rebuilt in Juche 63(1974).
On July 8, Juche 101(2012), the respected Kim Jong Un looked round the museum and gave instructions on renovating it. He gave field guidance to its construction site 18 times for a little over one year before its inauguration.
Though 68 years have passed since the day of war victory, the great victors remain alive at present, too.
This is the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery inaugurated in July Juche 102(2013).
The respected Kim Jong Un visits it on the occasion of the V-Day July 27 and pays noble tribute to the martyrs.
Five national conferences of war veterans were held until last year from Juche 101(2012) when the respected Kim Jong Un was elected to the supreme posts of the Party and the state.
Atthe Sixth National Conference of War Veterans held last year, he said:
"Although time passes and one generation is replaced by another, the heroic fighting spirit and undying feats of the victorious wartime generation will boil the red blood of our descendants harder for all eternity and the great spirit and feats will live for ever with the victorious advance of our revolution."
