DPRK Premier makes field survey of different sectors of South Phyongan Province

Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors of South Phyongan Province.
Looking round farms in Mundok, Sukchon and Taedong Counties, he stressed the need for the leading agricultural officials to bear in mind the importance of this year's farming, positively generalize the experience of the advanced units and take care of nutrition of the crops in a scientific way, ensuring safe yield.
After learning about the production of the Namyang Salt Works, Kim Tok Hun said the salt producers in different places should introduce an advanced salt extraction method to increase production decisively.
At the Anju Area Coal-Mining Complex he acquainted himself with the issues arising in ensuring electricity necessary for the construction of pits and coal production in a stable way before taking relevant measures. He also pointed out the shortcomings of officials of the Jangsan Mine who fail to give full play to the initiative and creativity and discussed ways to strengthening the refractory production base.
The consultative meetings held on the spot took measures for the farms in the province to more scrupulously manure and cultivate the crops in the latter half of their growth, enhance responsibility and role of the leading economic officials to keep the planning and commanding closer to the reality and smooth the organic links between sectors and units to revitalize production.
