An enlarged meeting of the Third Plenary Meeting of the Tenth Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League was held on September 16 through videoconferencing.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the youth league central committee.
Present there as observers were officials of youth league committees of ministries, national agencies and provinces.
The items on the agenda for the meeting were the issues of carrying out the important tasks set forth by General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Un in his letter of congratulation sent to the trustworthy young people who volunteered to work in difficult and labour-consuming sectors of socialist construction and by the Third Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK
Mun Chol, chairman of the youth league central committee, delivered a report on the agenda items.
He detailed the achievements made and defects revealed in the work of the youth league since the Eighth Congress of the WPK and put forward the ways of powerfully arousing youth league members to the implementation of the tasks set by the Third Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party by enhancing the militant functions and role of youth league organizations.
Speakers at the meeting expressed their resolve to prepare youth league members to be true youth vanguard who devote themselves to the building of a thriving country with pure loyalty to the Party and ardent patriotism by bravely innovating work with the Party's ideas and policies as absolute standards.
The meeting adopted relevant decisions based on an in-depth study of their drafts.
