Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected different sectors of the national economy.
At the September Textile Mill, Kanggye Pencil Factory and Jonchon Match Factory, the premier called for boosting the production of consumer goods necessary for the people's living by pushing ahead with the work for expanding capacity, modernizing production lines and updating equipment, true to the idea and spirit of the 3rd Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.
Making the rounds of the Jonchon Rock-drill Factory, Huichon Precision Machine Plant and Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory, he stressed the need to positively propel the development of the national economy by massively developing efficient Korean-style machine products and to uphold the Party's people-oriented policy on public health with practical successes by producing more modern medical equipment and appliances.
Looking round the Hyangsan County Spawning Station and the Kaechon City Office for Stocking Rivers with Fishes, he took measures to briskly conduct cage-net fish farming in the dammed waters of the cascade power stations along the River Chongchon and speed up the building of several fish ponds including a mandarin fish pond.
The field consultative meetings discussed issues of further enhancing the responsibility and role of the officials in the light industrial sector, boosting production through proactive and creative business activities and putting fish farming on a scientific and intensive basis, and urged relevant units to prioritize the supply of materials needed for producing mass consumption goods.
While inspecting the Ryongrim Dam of the Huichon Power Station and Huichon Power Station No. 7, he discussed the measures for tackling problems.
