Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of greeting to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), on Oct. 1.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm congratulations on behalf of the WPK, the government of the DPRK and the Korean people and on his own behalf to General Secretary Xi Jinping and to the CPC, the government of the PRC and the fraternal Chinese people on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the PRC.

The message said that for 72 years after the foundation of the PRC, the Chinese people have made great successes in the struggle to carve out the destiny of the nation and achieve its prosperity under the leadership of the CPC, braving all sorts of challenges and difficulties of history.

Noting that the Chinese people entered a historic course for attaining a fresh goal of building a modern socialist country after comprehensively building up a well-off society, the message said that as comrades and friends, we are pleased with the successes made in socialist China as our own.

The message expressed belief that the Chinese nation's dream of rejuvenation will surely come true as there are the socialist idea with the Chinese characteristics for the new times and devoted efforts of the Chinese people close rallied around the CPC with General Secretary Xi Jinping as its core.

The message said that the WPK, the DPRK government and people will firmly support the Chinese party, government and people in their just struggle to defeat the hostile forces' frantic anti-China confrontational moves and defend the sovereignty, right to development and territorial integrity of the country.

Saying that now the two parties and two countries demonstrate the comradely unity while strengthening the strategic and tactical cooperation in the common struggle for advancing the cause of socialism and defending the regional peace and stability, the message expressed belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and China will steadily develop in conformity with the common desire of the two parties and the peoples of the two countries in the future, too.

The message sincerely wished General Secretary Xi Jinping good health and greater success in his work.

It also wished the PRC prosperity and the Chinese people happiness and well-being.
