In Rimgyong Workers’ District of Kangdong County is Pak Un Jong, who gave birth to her 10th child at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. Three of her 10 offspring are doing their military service.
There is a reason why she gave birth to many children.
One day when she bore the second baby and took aftercare she read an article of Rodong Sinmun introducing a family 18 members of which did their military service.
That day she told her husband that she would like to have many children and bring them up to be good soldiers for defending the socialist country.
Thus she became a prolific mother.
The country gave her the medical treatment ticket for prolific mothers and looked after her family carefully lest they feel inconvenience. When she was in the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital the country sent her the wild honey and various tonics for her nutrition and also the medical workers did their best.
Pak Un Jong and her husband Ri Kwang Chol always asked their children to become soldiers to defend the benevolent system and socialist country.
She took part in the state conference thanks to the measure of the Workers’ Party of Korea that valued her highly because she bore many children. Moreover the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un personally read the letter of her resolution to bring up their children as soldiers.
Last September Pak Un Jong was awarded with the title of Labor Heroine, the supreme honor of citizen of the DPRK.
She says that she will repay the great love and trust of the Party with bringing up their offspring well as pillars of the country.
