Endless Love
One day in June several years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Jangchon Vegetable Co-op Farm in Sadong District.
He was so glad since the co-op farm was totally face-lifted to become another fairyland of the era of the Workers’ Party.
That day, he dropped by the cultural house of the farm, too, and made rounds of its interior. He expressed his satisfaction over the fact that the cultural house had been laid out as splendidly as an art theatre.
Being informed of how the farmers felt about the superb cultural house by the chairwoman of the management board of the co-op farm, he said that the farmers were excited for a good reason and that doing cultural and leisure activities at such a wonderful cultural house would make them as cultured and enterprising as urbanites.
After looking round the cultural house, he sincerely said to officials that all the farms had to be laid out well like the co-op farm to let their farmers shout hurrahs for the Workers’ Party of Korea of their own accord.
The officials were greatly excited. They could already visualize the happy tomorrow of farms across the country to be brought by the General Secretary’s attentive care.
The Greatest of All Pleasures
One April day in Juche 108 (2019), the respected General Secretary visited the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort under construction.
During his inspection, he went to the site of the pavilion being built on the mountain ridge.
He said to the accompanying officials that he had decided to inspect all major construction sites before the significant meetings to be held in the month because the major construction projects were no less than a promise he had made to the people and so he wanted to check in person.
The officials couldn’t repress their excitement.
The General Secretary went on to say that as he always said, officials had to regard the burdens they shouldered on themselves for the people as the greatest of all pleasures and good lucks and that nobody else could take their place to take pains for the good of the people.
This touching story about the General Secretary’s deep love for the people still inspires the officials to devote themselves to the people’s wellbeing.
