An enlarged meeting of the third plenary meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea was held on October 20 by way of video-conferencing.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee.
Present there as observers were officials of the SWUK Central Committee and women’s union officials in provinces, cities and counties.
The meeting discussed the issues of thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth by the historic policy speech On the Orientation of Present Struggle for a Fresh Development of Socialist Construction the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un delivered at the Fifth Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the SWUK Central Committee, said in her keynote speech that all the women’s union officials and members, who received the immortal programme implanting firmer faith in and stronger will to build socialism, are brimming with extraordinary revolutionary enthusiasm to dynamically advance toward the bright future under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
At present, the women’s union is faced with the honourable duty to propel the all-people general advance towards the prosperity of the state by actively arousing all the members to the implementation of the administrative policy of the DPRK government, she said, referring to the tasks for their realization.
A relevant resolution was adopted at the meeting on the basis of study of its draft.
