He said that though he was a soldier of President Kim Il Sung, who set out on the road of revolution with a firm decision to add lustre to his beloved country, the DPRK, in the world by upholding the cause of the President early in his life, he still failed to live up to the President’s great trust and expectation. He went on to say that when the DPRK reached the highest peak of the world and people could enjoy the happiest life in the world, he would set his mind at rest and have a sound sleep as desired by the people and that he was sure that the day would definitely come in the near future.
The recent ten years led to the conclusion that we are sure to win when we strengthen the army and consolidate the single-hearted unity between the Party and the people and those who advance with firm confidence in the validity of their cause can defeat any strong enemy, he added in a deep voice.
It was the historic moment when the pledge that had been made at the foot of Ryongnam Hill dozens of years ago resounded more loudly through this dignified land.
