In Hwasong-dong, Ryongsong District, there lives one girl, called Jang Un A, who got back her hope by warmhearted people.
Jang, who had cultivated her talents with a dream of becoming a dancer in the future, caught an illdefined disease a few years ago. So she could not stand at all.
Her condition became worse as days went by.
One day, a woman residing in Hwasong-dong visited her house to ask in detail about Jang’s condition and the course of treatment before. Then she encouraged Jang telling her not to give up and that she would dance again.
After that, she called at Jang’s house almost every day with materials for tonics and nutritive foodstuffs necessary for treatment. Also women in the neighborhood devoted their sincerity to Jang.
A female doctor in the hospital under the Ministry of Railways, who was in charge of Jang Un A, said that different persons used to come to the hospital carrying her on their backs. She added that she felt again virtue and affection pervading the society, witnessing the fact that neighbors and many members of Womens’ Union put their whole mind to a girl’s health recovery.
Thus an ordinary worker’s daughter could regain her hope thanks to the sincerity of persons in our grateful socialist system, who regard other’s pain as their own.
