Commanding officers and shock brigade members of Construction Division 216 got together in the City of Samjiyon on November 24 to vow to carry out the important tasks the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward on his field guidance tour of the city.
The meeting was attended by Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau and department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Pak Hun, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Jong Song, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, commanding officers and shock brigade members of Construction Division 216 and soldier builders.
The report delivered by Kim Jae Ryong was followed by speeches of Kim Sang Ryong, chief of staff of Construction Division 216, Pak Chang Son, officer of the Korean People’s Army, and Yu Chol Ho, director of the political department of the South Hwanghae Provincial Regiment of the Phothae Construction Brigade.
They referred to the fact that General Secretary Kim Jong Un on a visit to the City of Samjiyon familiarized himself with the third-stage construction project and extended thanks on behalf of the WPK Central Committee to the commanding officers and shock brigade members of the construction division for implementing the Party’s decision and policy.
The officers and members of the division have been able to fully demonstrate their proud appearance as the Paektusan construction unit as they have courageously overcome all trials, thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un who guided them step by step with his far-reaching plan for building an ideal land of the people from Samjiyon, they emphasized.
Saying that all the combatants of the division are full of a burning determination to carry out his on-spot instructions without the slightest delay or concession, they called on the commanding officers and shock brigade members to give full play to their revolutionary passion once again so as to add brilliance to Samjiyon as a modern mountainous city in the era of the Workers' Party that is envied by the whole world.
They also appealed to everyone to fully display the spirit of Yongil bomb during the anti-Japanese war and the fighting spirit of self-reliance and fortitude in order to create something out of nothing and make the impossible possible, thereby successfully carrying out the assignments given to the division.
They stressed the need to rise up in high spirits with the unshakeable faith that they are sure to win as the great Party Central Committee guides them and there is the firm single-hearted unity of all the people around the Party, so as to carry through the instructions of the General Secretary.
A resolution was adopted at the rally.
