Three peculiar public service buildings are standing abreast in Changjon Street of the capital Pyongyang.
The one in the middle is occupied by the Songyong General Restaurant and the Unjong Teahouse. They are very popular among people for their hot competition to render better services.
The competition was proposed by the respected Kim Jong Un during his field guidance.
Jang Hwa Suk, Manageress of the Songyong General Restaurant, says:
"The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited our restaurant on May 24, 2012.
That day, he requested that the Songyong General Restaurant and the Unjong Teahouse should vie with each other for better service, saying which one would draw more people depends on the service, management method and quality of dishes."
His instructions hinted a good way for the restaurant and the teahouse to offer better services.
As he said, the employees of the two establishments constantly improved the services by pooling their wisdom so as not to fall behind. In the course of it, the restaurant and the teahouse became popular among people.
The competition was the one for serving the people more faithfully.
