A national sci-tech presentation in the field of pisciculture was held through video conferencing between the 23rd and the 25th under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The presentation under the theme of "substitute raw materials for animal and vegetable protein-rich feed" was aimed at introducing and generalizing sci-tech successes and experiences made in solving the feed problem in fish breeding.
Present there were scientists, technicians, graduate students, students and field officials of more than 30 units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, the Wonsan University of Fisheries, the Nampho University of Fisheries, the Academy of Fishery Science, the Wonsan Fish Farm, the Samchon Catfish Farm and the Hamhung Catfish Farm.
Presented to the presentation were over 70 valuable papers conducive to solving the feed problem, establishing scientific breeding system and developing fish farming technology by producing protein-rich feed and additives.
Technical lectures were given and multimedia programs projected during the period of presentation on the trend of development of feed additives, the way of breeding big and tasty fish and catfish farming.
