The United States, United Kingdom and Australia concluded an agreement on exchange of naval nuclear propulsion information on November 22.
This has thus paved the way for Australia’s step into a full-scale implementation of its plan for an acquisition of nuclear-powered submarine - a troublesome one which has caused an international controversy.
Earlier on November 19, the U.S. chief executive asserted that the agreement will ensure further improvement of their mutual defense posture, and on the same day, the Coordinator for Indo-Pacific of the U.S. National Security Council widely publicized “threats” from China by arguing that “AUKUS” stands for a counter to the increase in Chinese military power and that “Quad” will also be further expanded.
Then, the question is who is the real culprit undermining the regional peace and stability.
It is undisputedly the U.S. that is inviting reckless arms race by pursuing its unilateral and unfair bloc-forming external policy in the Indo-Pacific region.
An examination into all of the blocs formed in the Indo-Pacific region, to include “Quad”, “Five Eyes” and “AUKUS” with the U.S. in the lead, reveals that all these are one-sided groups designed to threaten other country. There is not a single bloc or alliance in this region which is the other way around, that is, threatening the U.S.
Moreover, the U.S. takes issue with the countries of its dislike over their individual exercise of sovereignty and unhesitatingly forms collective nuclear submarine alliance. This double standard and unfairness of the U.S. presents grave threat to peace and stability of the region.
It is no coincidence that China and many other countries are now strongly denouncing the American work of having manufactured “AUKUS” as “highly irresponsible behavior of threatening the regional stability.”
There is a saying that a guilty party files the suit first.
As evidenced by the foregoing, the U.S., which is publicizing “threats” from China, is indeed an undisputed culprit who is producing real threat.
