10 years have passed since the great leader Kim Jong Il, whom the Korean people regarded as the God, passed away on December 17, Juche 100(2011) to the sorrow of the whole country.

There is a saying that 10 years are enough to change mountains and rivers. But the history of the leaders' immortality goes on in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The first work in the new century of the Juche era began with the erection of a bronze statue of Kim Jong Il.

His bronze statue was built along with the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill in the capital city Pyongyang under the energetic and meticulous guidance of the respected Kim Jong Un.

It is the most important and fundamental work for accomplishing the cause of leaders' immortality to lay in state the leaders who pioneered the road of revolution for the first time and advanced it victoriously.

Kim Jong Un proposed laying Kim Jong Il in state together with Kim Il Sung in the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and paid special attention to building it up perfectly.

Candidate Academician, Professor and Doctor Song Tong Won, Researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences, says:

"The respected Kim Jong Un visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun deep at night in early December 2012.

When he dropped in at the hall keeping the railway carriage used by the great Kim Jong Il, he got on it and looked at the mementos for a long while. He walked up and down the carriage and got off to look in through window. And he got on the carriage again not to miss any shortcomings.

After a long stretch of time he came out and looked around at the officials, warmly saying Kim Jong Il seems to be entering the carriage in an instant."

Kim Jong Un regarded the utmost courtesy and highest level as the absolute standard in accomplishing the cause of the leaders' immortality.

He made sure that the highest order and prize of the DPRK with the name and smiling portrait of Kim Jong Il were instituted. He also instituted February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong Il, as the Day of the Shining Star.

And he ensured that it was stipulated in the rules of the Workers' Party of Korea and the constitution of the DPRK that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il shall be held in high esteem as the eternal leaders of the Party and the revolution.

He also formulated the revolutionary ideas of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and declared Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the eternal guideline of the Korean revolution and the modelling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme of the WPK.

The past 10 years were those of immortality of the great leaders and those of the boundless loyalty and moral obligation of Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward their intention.

As the ideas and exploits of the great leaders are carried forward, the Korean people keep their benevolent images deeper in their hearts.
