Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- A new COVID-19 variant with high infectivity now rapidly spreads to different countries and regions in the five continents and the number of the infected is on the increase, arousing serious public concern.
The central emergency epidemic prevention unit and emergency epidemic prevention units at all levels in the DPRK are taking preemptive epidemic prevention measures of our own style to thoroughly check the inroads of the malignant virus while keeping close tabs on the worldwide spread of COVID-19.
They inform the people of the worldwide spread of the malignant virus through mass media and make everyone turn out in the emergency epidemic prevention campaign with shared awareness of the gravity of the pandemic and the importance of the emergency epidemic prevention work.
Posters disseminating anti-epidemic regulations are displayed in public places and worksites and all the people adopt it as part of their life and habit to disinfect their hands, wear masks and measure temperature and give priority to leading their life as required by the emergency epidemic prevention system and rules.
Officials and working people of inspection and quarantine units have further tightened the rules on disinfection and treatment of materials while rejecting indolence, slackness, self-complacency and carelessness.
