Rallies took place in South Hwanghae Province, South Hamgyong Province, Rason City and Kaesong City on January 9-10 to pledge to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present at the rallies were officials of Party and power organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities and working people and students in those provinces and cities.
At the rallies, speakers said that according to the proposal made by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee extended thanks in the name of the Party Central Committee to the exemplary officials, workers, scientists and technicians in the field of agriculture.
The General Secretary, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, highly praised all Party members, working people and service personnel across the country for glorifying 2021 as a year of proud victory to be specially recorded in the DPRK's history of socialist construction and sent warm greetings to them, they said.
They noted that through the last year's struggle, they kept in mind once again the philosophical principle that the road of remaining faithful to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un is that of victory and glory to bring earlier the rosy future and that to devotedly carry out the plan and determination of the Party Central Committee is the greatest glory and pride.
Under the wise guidance of the General Secretary who taught them the ways of overcoming difficulties and winning victory and provided them with redoubled strength and courage in the struggle, they could make miraculous achievements and win victory one after another, they added.
They called on all officials, Party members and other working people to turn out as one in the struggle for glorifying this significance year marking the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il as a year of great revolutionary events and fresh victory, true to the idea and spirit of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
Letters of pledge to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were adopted at the rallies.
At the end of the rallies, there were public processions of the participants.
