Industrial establishments in the metal industry sector and other major units of the national economy including the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the Ministry of Electric Power Industry and the Ministry of Agriculture held meetings to pledge to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Reporters said the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee, at the proposal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the WPK, extended thanks in the name of the Party Central Committee to the exemplary agricultural officials, workers, scientists and technicians who made a tangible contribution to doing farming well last year.
They stressed that the General Secretary, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, highly praised all the Party members and other working people across the country and service personnel of the People’s Army for making indomitable and strenuous efforts to glorify last year as a year of proud victory to be specially recorded in the history of socialist construction, and sent warm greetings to them.
The reporters and other speakers stated that the important conclusion and historic report made by the General Secretary at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee are monumental documents of epoch-making significance in accelerating the prosperity and development of the country and realizing the centuries-old desire of the Korean people as well as a militant banner of sure victory dynamically encouraging this year’s struggle.
They called on all officials, Party members and other working people to glorify this significant year as a year of revolutionary, auspicious events to be brilliantly recorded in the history of the country by bringing about practical achievements in socialist construction, cherishing noble loyalty to the Party and fervent patriotism.
Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the rallies.
