An inspection firing drill for judging the proficiency in the action procedures of the railway mobile missile regiment of North Phyongan Province took place on January 14.
It was supervised by commanding officers of the Korean People’s Army and leading officials of the Academy of Defence Science.
The firing drill was aimed at checking the alert posture of combatants of the regiment and bolstering their ability of discharging firing mission.
On receiving the fire task from the General Staff at short notice on the morning of January 14, the regiment swiftly moved to the firing ground and precisely struck the target in the East Sea of Korea with two tactical guided missiles.
The review highly appreciated the combat posture of the railway mobile missile regiment of North Phyongan Province which demonstrated high manoeuvrability and a bull’s eye strike in the drill, and discussed the issues to set up a proper railway mobile missile operating system across the country and find out the ways for further completing the Korean-style railway mobile missile warfare.
