Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- Chairman Kim Jong Il published the immortal classic work "On Juche Literature" on Jan. 20, Juche 81 (1992).

The work is an encyclopedia for Juche-oriented literature development and an immortal programme clearly showing the road ahead of the literature in the era of independence.

The work deals with the issue of creditably carrying forward and developing the tradition of revolutionary literature and art, the issue of properly evaluating the literary and art heritages of the nation with the Juche-oriented stand and the issue that the history of our revolutionary literature and art is a history of Juche-oriented realism and the Juche-oriented realism is the creative method based on the man-centered viewpoint. It also expounds the important task of our literature and the fundamentals for Juche-oriented literature construction. And the theory on seed of work is newly formulated and the theoretical and practical problems to be adhered to in the creation of all genres and forms of literature are integrated.

Its vitality has been fully displayed in the development of Juche-based literature over the past three decades.

Produced were many literary works including full-length novels "Immortality", "Mountains in Verdure", "The Rushing Current of History" and "Prosperous Korea", parts of the cycle of novels "Immortal History" and "Immortal Guidance" which deal with the immortal revolutionary history and feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il . Therefore, the literature depicting the leader reached a new stage.

Releasing was "Regeneration", the first full-length novel of the cycle of novels "Immortal Milestones" which crystallizes the immortal revolutionary exploits and the personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as the great man.

And a new type of literary work depicting the leader came into being with the editing of such revolutionary narrations as a collection of mourning narrations "Even Sky and Land Mourn".

Also, such monumental masterpieces were produced as epic "Our Eternal Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung ", text of song "Our Comrade Kim Jong Il ", revolutionary opera "Victory of the Revolution Is in Sight" and drama "We Will Recollect Today", which made the Korean people harden their faith in the revolutionary victory.

Songs "Ode to the Motherland", "Our National Flag", "Three Years of War" and "We Follow His Tender Heart" produced in the new century of Juche are of national treasure. They are a demonstration of the great vitality of the original idea and theory contained in the work. -0-
