Kyongsong hot spring, located in Kyongsong County, North Hamgyong Province, is a simple silica-radon spring.
It is not clear when it was discovered, but it is said it was discovered over 400 years ago.
The weather around the hot spring is maritime climate.
Hot spring water gushes out in several places. Most famous are Spas No.1 and No.2 and the sand-mineral bath resort.
The contents of their ingredient are similar to each other.
The water is 55℃ with a pH value of 9.2 and its daily yield is 120 cubic metres.
It is effective in treating chronic gastritis, chronic bronchitis, trauma, aftereffects of surgical operation, neuralgia, multiple neuritis, autonomic imbalance, eczema and psoriasis, and in promoting blood circulation and metabolism.
There is a sanatorium near the hot spring.
Kyongsong hot spring was designated as natural monument No.376.
