Changsong is a mountain county in North Phyongan Province in the northwestern part of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. 95 percent of its area is mountains. The local people are turning all those mountains into golden and treasure mountains.

Changsong has changed
It is different from last year
The song "Changsong Today" was created in Juche 59(1970). As it sings, Changsong County has many local industrial factories including a foodstuff factory, textile mill, cabinetmaking factory and paper mill.
Changsong County has been a model of the country in the development of local industry since the 1960s thanks to the special concern of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
It was visited by Kim Il Sung 153 times and by Kim Jong Il 86 times for field guidance.
The respected Kim Jong Un called at the historic place on June 13, Juche 102(2013).
He looked round the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, the Changsong Restaurant, the Changsong Noodle House, the Undok Health Complex, the Changsong County Hall of Culture and other places.
When he dropped in at the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, he looked at the products made with wild fruits and appreciated that they are amazing and they are as good as those produced at a factory under the central authority. Looking at the photo album showing the past and the present of the Changsong Restaurant and the Changsong Noodle House, he said: Today is better than yesterday. Likewise, they should be much better tomorrow.
In the Hall of Culture, he enjoyed a performance given by art circle members of the county.
Put on the stage was also the mixed duet and chorus "Changsong Today".
Praising them for their wonderful performance, Kim Jong Un said he is greatly moved all the more to hear a dramatic story after looking round the changed Changsong.
That day, he brightly illuminated an orientation and ways for the county to further develop and had photo sessions with the people wherever he went.
After he left Changsong, the local people wrote a letter to him.
Kim Jong Un read it and sent his autograph saying: As in the song, Changsong should keep changing better in the future and it should be a paradise filled with happy laughter of the people.
52 years has passed since the song "Changsong Today" was created.
The song of Changsong will be sung generation after generation, promising the future when it will be changed into a better paradise.
