One day in April Juche 54(1965), President Kim Il Sung came to Rungna Islet to plant trees.
Telling the accompanying officials about the way of tree planting and special characters of trees, he planted the fourth tree with great care.
An official asked the President to stop the work.
But he offered to plant more trees, saying he had planned to plant five trees before coming there.
After a while, the President suggested having a rest and straightened himself. But during the break, he checked the plan of a recreation ground on Rungna Islet.
He underlined the need to build embankments around the islet and decorate it more elegantly.
That day, he stopped his work after planting 15 trees though officials asked him several times to have some rest.
On his way back, he said that he planted good species of trees that day and though he had planned to plant five trees on the morning, he planted 15 trees. It could be claimed to be a memorial tree-planting of the great Chollima advance, he added, laughing a delighted laugh.
