The Japanese politicians staged another farce of visiting Yasukuni Shrine and paying tribute to conjure up the militarist specters on the occasion of the spring festival.
Following in the footsteps of predecessors, Kisida, Japanese prime minister paid tribute to Yasukuni Shrine on April 21. Abe, the former Prime Minister and other militarist fanatics including the present Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee of the Liberal Democratic Party staged the farce of visiting the Shrine respectively, going there in flocks.
Yasukuni Shrine is a symbol of aggressive war and militarism. It preserves the mortuary tablets of 14 A-class war criminals including Tojo Hideki who was given a stern trial after he ran amuck to aggression against Asian countries including our country, being obsessed with extreme Yamato nationalism.
This is why the peace-loving people of the world take it serious and strongly castigate the Japanese reactionaries for visiting and paying tribute to Yasukuni Shrine.
What enrages us more is that Abe, a descendant of war criminal, praised the war dead of Yasukuni Shrine without scruple as the “spirit of revered memory who fought at the cost of their lives to defend the country”.
This can’t but be a gangster-like sophistry turning black into white.
The Japanese reactionaries, on the occasion of spring and autumn festival, and the day of its defeat every year, praise war criminals of militarism as “heroes” making it as an established practice to visit and offer tributes to Yasukuni Shrine. This is an intolerable insult to the people in Asian countries who were forced upon immeasurable sufferings and misfortunes caused by the aggression of the Japanese imperialists, and it is an expression of its revanchist ambition.
The Japanese reactionaries persist in their visits to Yasukuni Shrine playing on the justice and conscience. Its real intention is to bring up their posterity who can be used as a shock troop for reinvasion by reviving the specters of militarism.
History taught us a serious lesson about what a miserable fate the Japanese imperialists had met after launching into the invasion of the Continent.
Japan should be prudent and practice self-control keeping in mind that its rash revanchist act will only invite a miserable downfall. It should also sincerely apologize for and reflect on its sinful past history of aggression.
