Today, our revolutionary armed forces are marking the 90 th anniversary of its foundation with the pride of being grown and gained in strength as a strong pillar for defending peace with a reliable deterrent to the ravages of war on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

President Kim Il Sung , the legendary anti-Japanese hero, founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army on April 25, 1932. Thus, the Korean people, who were groaning under the bayonet of the Japanese imperialists, came to have a genuine revolutionary army of their own for the first time. This has also started the glorious history of our revolutionary armed forces.

As we have held peerless commanders born of heaven throughout centuries and generations, our revolutionary armed forces could have been developed into an invincible revolutionary army, recording only great victories all the time in persistent and demanding military confrontation with hostile forces.

Thanks to the outstanding military idea, Juche-oriented war tactics, resourceful strategy and tactics and the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung , the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and military strategist, our new-born revolutionary armed forces created epoch-making miracle of beating the Japanese and the U.S. imperialist aggressive forces one after another, which were boasting of being the “Leader of Asia” and the “strongest” in the world.

With Songun revolutionary leadership of giving the military the most important national priority, Chairman Kim Jong Il had developed our revolutionary armed forces into an invincible combat unit which can defeat any formidable enemy at one stroke. Thus, he created another miracle of honorably defending our ideology and system, going against the expectations of the world people when the destinies of our peoples were at the crossroads of becoming independent people or falling into the imperialists’ slaves in mid 1990s.

Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces, which had been founded by President Kim Il Sung and led by Chairman Kim Jong Il , has been developed into a crack revolutionary force that no formidable enemy would dare to provoke thanks to outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is yet another brilliant military strategist and iron-willed commander possessed of matchless courage and pluck.

With tireless efforts and great devotion for the country and people, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has achieved the historic cause of completing the state nuclear force so as to provide most reliable nuclear war deterrent, and led the development of new state-of-the-art weaponry system of our own style to victory in succession. Thus, he turned our revolutionary armed forces into an invincible revolutionary army possessed of the world’s strongest military power, put our country on the front rank of world-class military power, and laid firm foundations for all fellow countrymen to lead a peaceful life free from war forever. These are the everlasting patriotic feat which can be achieved only by peerless patriot Comrade Kim Jong Un .

Our revolutionary armed forces have only won victories throughout generations under the hands of brilliant commanders of Mt. Paektu. It will continue to display its might as an invincible revolutionary army which ensures the victorious advance of revolution and the everlasting happiness of posterity, and reliably safeguards the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in the region, as we hold in high esteem the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , a brilliant leader born of heaven.
