The miniature of Songhwa Street in the capital Pyongyang was opened to the public at the ground-breaking ceremony in March last year.
One year has passed since then and now the new street has been built according to the miniature. The street was inaugurated in April this year.
Over 160 cloud-kissing and high-rise apartment houses including 80-story one and public buildings and public service amenities were built in the area of 56 hectares.
10,000 flats were provided to people free of charge.

At the Eighth Party Congress, the respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, put forward a task to build 10,000 flats every year by concentrating efforts on the construction of 50,000 dwelling houses in Pyongyang City during the 2021-2025 five-year plan.
The construction of dwelling houses planned by the Party and the state is not for the economic profits but the work for making the assets of the state and the creative labour of the working people contribute to their well-being.
Kim Jong Un guided over 1,000 miniatures concerning the construction of Songhwa Street and paid deep attention to the fixtures and doors for the flats.
He took necessary measures for the construction in succession and energetically led the work to promote its whole course powerfully.
Songhwa Street, a crystallization of his devoted service for the people's well-being, is the first entity of the implementation of construction policy presented by the Eighth Party Congress.
The second project for attaining the prospective goal for the construction of 50,000 flats in Pyongyang City is the construction of 10,000 flats in the Hwasong area which started in February. This is the first-stage project for building new modern sections in the Hwasong area.
In the coming three years, this area will have magnificent streets with tens of thousand flats, public buildings and service facilities as well as a new residential administrative district.
The miniature of the Hwasong area will come true before long.
