In the DPRK the whole Party and the entire people move as one with the idea and intention of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Such peculiar powerful organizing ability and unity are bringing about a definite victory in the war with the malignant disease.

At present, the spread of the pandemic in the DPRK has been deterred and controlled in a stable way. The number of those infected with the disease greatly increased at the beginning of its outbreak, but now it is on the decrease. The number of those completely recovered is growing in the whole region.

Officials of the provincial, city and county Party and government organs are performing their responsibility and duty in the vanguard of the anti-epidemic campaign.

The combatants in the medical sector of the Korean People's Army deployed in hundreds of pharmacies in Pyongyang City are leading the anti-epidemic campaign of the capital with their infinite devotion as befitting the special detachment of the Party, while fully displaying the fine traits of army-people unity.

Many medicines of over 70 kinds were supplied to more than 4,900 medicine management stations and preventive and curative institutions and over 4,300 pharmacies and medicine counters across the country between May 17 and 19.

On the basis of having put together the results of intensive checkup and examination of all the inhabitants, the relevant sectors have started a precision analysis according to symptoms, ages and sexes and the proposals are promoted in a planned way to build a denser nationwide test network and enhance the professional qualifications and skills of the testers.

The field of medical scientific research confirmed the scheme of administering medicines to those in a fever with special constitution and is speeding up the work to develop a new test reagent for early discovery of the pandemic and a new antibody test reagent.

According to data available, more than one million medical workers of hospitals at all levels, teachers and students of doctor-training institutions and those in charge of hygiene at all units across the country are taking part in the checkup and examination, treatment and hygienic propaganda activities to thoroughly intercept and remove the source of spread of the malignant disease.

Diverse programs and printed matter dealing with the common knowledge of the prevention and treatment of the pandemic have been made and distributed under the unified command of the State Emergency Anti-Epidemic Headquarters, greatly proving effective in raising the scientific anti-epidemic consciousness of the broad masses.

Party members are fully displaying at the workplaces the noble spiritual and moral traits of thinking first of their comrades, rather than themselves and their families.
