Grave challenge to peace and security of the world

Be smart about South Korea: Join Korea Pro
Japanese defense ministry recently made public a draft of its “2022 White Paper on Defense”. In it, it picked a quarrel with our measure to bolster self-defence capacities saying that we “are unilaterally increasing the degree of provocation against the international society.”

Japan, through its annually announced White Paper, never misses provoking us as a “threat” and “provocation”, and is behaving itself as a judge.

This is just an ill-willed behaviour like a thief crying “Stop thief!”.

Does Japan then have any real qualification or face to pick on the other calling it as a “threat”?

If we are to speak about Japan, it is a criminal state which inflicted immeasurable misfortune, suffering and disaster upon humankind with its continued aggression and war in the last century.

The tragedy of bloodshed did not cease, and hot-blooded outcry did not abate wherever aggressive military boots of Japanese imperialism had reached.

Especially, the gravest crime against humanity committed by the Japanese imperialists in Korea was the most outrageous and cruelest one unprecedented in the history of aggressive wars.

The Japanese imperialists abducted and took in custody millions of young and middle-aged people before forcing them slave labour or sacrificing them as cannon fodder, and committed shuddering atrocities of turning hundreds of thousands of women into sexual slaves. The world, to say nothing of the Korean people, are demanding that Japan make an apology and compensation for it.

But Japan denies its bloodstained past, far from making an apology for its A-class crime against humanity it had committed in the past. It also does not hesitate to extol to the skies the chief war criminals who had died in the aggressive war.

It is none other than Japan which persists in pursuing the revival of the imperial times. This includes naming the newly-built warships after those which were buried in the sea during the aggressive war in the last century.

Recently, Japan is showing ill-boding military moves while putting spurs to the possession of offensive weapons aimed at a preemptive strike against its opponent.

Japan, a war criminal state which had invaded many countries in the last century, continues to build up its military strength without offering any apology to its war crimes.

All the facts vividly show that it indeed poses a grave challenge to peace and security of the world.
