Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) has advanced the revolution, always believing in the people as in Heaven, and has never been apart from the people since it engraved a hammer, a sickle and a brush on its red flag, Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article.
Noting the WPK's nature is more clearly manifested in the current anti-epidemic campaign, the article goes on:
To tide over the worst trials that could be called the worst upheaval ever after the founding of the country, our Party has organized and waged a new struggle for protecting the lives and safety of the people, taking warmer care of them and further awakening itself to the sense of its duty to protect the destiny of the people.
There have been so far five officially reported important Party meetings for intensifying the anti-epidemic work such as Politburo meeting and consultations of the WPK Central Committee.
The respected General Secretary, feeling anxious about people's health, inspected pharmacies to learn in detail about the medicine supply situation and other issues and take timely measures until late at night, although he had spent tense hours at nights and dawns guiding the meetings for protecting the lives and health of the people. Seeing him making tireless efforts for people on TV, the people more keenly felt the warm love of the great mother who dedicates herself to protecting the health of her families and bringing laugher to them.
He stressed the importance of the duty and role of the Party and the responsibility of its officials in the current health crisis, urging the Party organizations and officials to always find themselves among the people to dispel their fear and anxiety and to become a protective wall for defending the people out of a will to dedicate themselves and remain loyal to the people. Such earnest instructions of the respected General Secretary have become the great sources for inspiring the whole Party to turn out in the campaign for devotedly serving the people.
Our Party's sincerity for the people gets deeper in this hard time to further impress them amid the grand campaign for combating the pandemic disease. Thanks to the great mother Party for the people, a great victory will soon be achieved in the anti-epidemic campaign to bring about the laugher of happiness to all the families across the country.
