A meeting was held on the 21st to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Transmission Line Laying Station.
Present at the meeting were Jon Hyon Chol, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yu Il, Minister of Electric Power Industry, officials concerned and officials and employees of the station.
Jon Hyon Chol conveyed a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the WPK to the workers, technicians and officials of the Transmission Line Laying Station greeting its 70th anniversary.
The message said:
The station started with power line project for the wartime munitions production in May Juche 41(1952) during the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War. The 70-year-long history of the station is shining with the heroic life and immortal feats of the workers, technicians and officials who opened the route of charge in the van of the struggle to materialize the Party's plan on building a powerful country.
Over the past 10 years the workers, technicians and officials of the station have carried out with responsibility the power line projects needed for major objects such as the construction of Samjiyon City, Units of the Chongchongang Power Station, the Masikryong Ski Resort and Songhwa Street.
The message highly praised the workers, technicians and officials of the Transmission Line Laying Station for having worked at the most difficult sector for the prosperity of the state and the promotion of the people's well-being with their intense loyalty to the revolution and devoted service, whether they are appreciated or not.
