The Eighth Political Bureau Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on May 12 analyzed the epidemic crisis created in the country and decided to switch the state epidemic prevention system to the top emergency anti-epidemic system and, accordingly, all the cities and counties of the DPRK thoroughly locked up their areas and closed each working unit, production unit and living unit from each other.

Since the capital city of Pyongyang was locked down from the afternoon of May 10, it was the most distressing for nursing mothers to purchase baby formula and rice powder.

In fact, it was they who suffered from inward troubles as they received treatment for COVID-19.

The pain from a high fever was bearable, but it was unbearable when their breasts ran dry after taking antibiotics to bring down the fever. The hardest part was that they could not feed anything else to the babies who had only lived on breast milk.

However, they never imagined that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was taking specific measures to save the people any slightest inconvenience in life, including one for the supply of baby formula and rice powder.

The production units related to the people's living carried on making goods and Party and government officials delivered the goods to residents continuously.

"The output of the factory was reported to the Party Central Committee every day," said the manager of the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory. "Measures for increasing production were taken without delay and the formula and rice powder were urgently transported to all parts of the country, as well as Pyongyang."

As soon as the baby foods arrived in the provinces, cities, counties and ris, cars carrying them ran to families with babies even at early dawn or midnight.

It was at daybreak when cars arrived in Kyongsin-ri, one of the remotest areas of Kangdong County in the suburbs of Pyongyang, to deliver formula and rice powder to some ten families with babies.

A nursing mother said that she was taken by surprise to see a county official who brought baby formula at such an unexpected time.

As she heard the story of how the baby formula arrived ahead of schedule, she was moved to tears even before finishing the word "thanks".

Such emotional scenes unfolded everywhere the "Kkotmangul"-brand products loved by nursing mothers were delivered.

The love of the Workers' Party of Korea for the rising generations did not just remain unchanged but got deeper even in the hard times which can be called the greatest turmoil in the history of the country.
