The sky over Mt Sokbak, where the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery is situated, is bright with red glow.
It makes our minds be wrapped with solemn feelings.
It seems to be flash of feats performed by our heroic fighters during the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) and it reminds us of the blood shed by them.
Whenever visiting the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, everybody recollects with deep emotion the war period while seeing the red glow over Mt Sokbak.
The figures of brave soldiers who annihilated the U.S. imperialists with the strategies and tactics unheard-of in the world war history while redoubling confidence in sure victory inspired by strong boldness and firm will of President Kim Il Sung to show the mettle of Koreans to enemies, who had the imprudence to ignite the Korean war failing to recognize them, and soldiers who silenced the enemy’s pillboxes with their bodies for their only motherland and group sculptures of heroes who annihilated the enemy till the last moment of their lives…
Indeed, the feats performed by those defenders of the country in the 1950s under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and their heroic fighting spirit are further shining with the passage of years.
The red glow over Mt Sokbak instills the precious philosophy into the posterity that the people who hold the great leader in high esteem will always emerge victorious.
