On the New Year’s Day three years ago, Han Son Yong, an embroidery teacher at Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace, formed her bonds with the orphans at Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans.
At that time, she visited the middle school with materials she prepared in order to celebrate the holiday with the orphans.
This visit brought lots of thoughts to her.
She had already been told so many times that the orphans were growing with nothing to envy in the world under the Party’s care but she was even more touched when she personally visited the middle school and made rounds of it.
That day, she looked back on the days when she became a teacher of the palace where she had spent her childhood and when she met the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
Then she hardened her will to do her part as an educator true to the ennobling love of the respected General Secretary.
Since then, she has visited the middle school more often.
Then on another visit to the orphans, Han offered to start teaching embroidery to the orphans, saying to one of the officials of the middle school that she wanted to do what she could to bring up the orphans beloved by the respected General Secretary to be excellent.
It was not so easy as it sounds to give lectures to the children at the palace on one hand and teach the orphans on the other.
But Han was obsessed with the thought that the respected General Secretary would be so pleased to see orphans who have acquired good skills.
That’s why she voluntarily became the orphans’ embroidery teacher.
Although it was a long way from the palace to the middle school and from the middle school back to her home, she visited the orphans every holiday and day off.
Her efforts paid off.
The embroideries of the orphans’ creating were highly appreciated at several festivals.
They presented many embroideries to the festival this year, as well as last year, to take the first place.
People congratulated her on her success.
She said to them that the respected General Secretary would be so glad when the orphans grew up happily learning good skills and that she would serve as a good foundation for the orphans’ sound growth true to the Party’s intention.
