For the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , there is no one far away or nearby in his mind. He goes every place in the country, where there are his people.
One day in September Juche 104 (2015), he visited the city of Rason in the northern tip of the country.
Earlier, in late August, he had the rehabilitation campaign in the city, which had been hit by a natural disaster, discussed as an important agenda item at an enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea, where strategic issues on national defence, the most important of affairs of the country, were to be discussed. He issued to the army an order in the name of the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army to conduct the rehabilitation campaign all at once.
He then came to the rehabilitation project by covering over 800km by plane, boat and then crossing mountains.
On his arrival, he said: I could hardly fall asleep as I think of the people left homeless by flooding; I have come here as I thought that I would feel relieved only when I see the on-going project.
Noting that it was his determination to build dwelling houses more wonderful, modern and better than the old ones, he gave instructions to dynamically push ahead with the construction of dwelling houses as the main thrust of the project.
This is what the people in Sindo County still recollect.
When Kim Jong Un left for Pidan Island one June day in Juche 107 (2018), the Amnok River emptying into the West Sea of Korea was reaching its lowest ebb. Officials accompanying him were worried because it was difficult to cast an anchor at the island at ebb tide.
However, he got on a boat, saying that there were his beloved people in the island, and that he felt as if he were hearing their call.
When the boat arrived at a wharf of the island, the muddy ground was revealed and there was no proper footing board.
But, Kim Jong Un stepped on the muddy shore.
That day, he made the round of several places, taking benevolent measures for providing more convenient and cultured living conditions to the local people.
