Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected several sectors.
Learning in detail about the farming in Phyongwon, Sukchon and Mundok counties and other parts of South Phyongan Province, the premier stressed the need to actively adopt the advanced farming methods for safely growing robust crops at the early stage and scientifically tend and nourish crops after making disastrous abnormal weather conditions a fait accompli in order to thoroughly implement the Party's policy of significantly increasing the agricultural production.
At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, he called on officials to have a proper viewpoint that the management of equipment and technical control is the most important matter in putting the production on a normal footing and to establish stringent discipline of carrying out the plan for the management of equipment and technical control without fail.
He also urged the Huichon Precision Machine Plant to proactively invent and introduce valuable technological innovations for improving the quality of parts of vehicles by boosting cooperation with science institutes.
He instructed the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory and the Huichon Hospital Bed Factory to develop modern medical appliances and take technical measures to lower the costs of production so as to supply enough medical appliances to public health organs at all levels.
Touring hospitals, pharmacies and commercial service units in Phyongwon, Sukchon and Mundok counties, the premier underscored the need for cities and counties to hold fast to the consolidating of material and technical foundation for the public health sector as an important policy issue and constantly press ahead with it and take substantial steps to better the inhabitants' living conditions.
The field consultative meetings discussed the issue for officials to display the spirit of unconditionally implementing the decisions of the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee, the issue of enhancing the role of the sci-tech sector in developing the country's economy, the issue of cementing the preventive treatment capability of public health organs and other issues before taking relevant measures.
