It is a trait of the workers at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex to make valuable discoveries conducive to increasing fertilizer production and to come up with new technical innovation plans, big or small.
New technology conception boxes are found at almost all workshops of the complex.
Not a few technical innovations have been introduced into production through these boxes.
Recently, a worker’s note collected from one of the boxes pointed out some defects of the gas generation process and rod coal drying process and suggested that the processes should be remodelled in a way that would save a lot of materials and labour.
This soon prompted a discussion at the complex and a technical conference was held in earnest for several days.
Then a remodelling project was initiated without delay.
As a result, much labour was saved in reprocessing and a normal operation of gas generation furnaces ensured.
Meanwhile, gas generator workshop No. 2 in charge of the initial process of fertilizer production has finished the repair of two gas generators last July.
“It was quite difficult to repair the two generators in July when it was hard to ensure even the current production due to hot weather,” said the workshop manager.
However, they invented and introduced a new method and conducted all processes simultaneously to finish the repair work within a month. Consequently, the gas generation capacity of each generator was enhanced markedly.
The ammonia workshop improved the performance of a solution circulation pump to increase the purity of carbon dioxide, while the humic acid workshop raised the quality of rod coal onto a higher level by improving the standard of humic acid.
As more and more ideas and innovation plans were created, assessment meetings on them were held on a weekly basis, which served as occasions for the workers to broaden their horizons.
“All of us, workers, are responsible for fulfilling the production plans without fail. In order to live up to our role as masters of production, we should master the equipment and gain more knowledge,” said worker Ri Tae Hyok.
The compressor workshop holds a technical study session as they meet for production review every day.
As problems arising in the production practice are consulted in a detailed manner, the meeting provides an opportunity for compressor operators to sharpen their skills, and this results in a rise in the operating rate of facilities at the workshop.
