President Kim Il Sung, the founding father of socialist Korea.Greeting this day, the world progressive people recall the career of President Kim Il Sung, one of the greatest men in the 20th century.It is considerably well known that President Kim Il Sung made a tremendous contribution to the cause of global independence.In my contribution to this seminar, I would like to highlight the foundation of the Juche idea and immortal exploits in the cause of global independence made by the great leader President Kim Il Sung who is revered so much by the world socialist and progressive people.President Kim Il Sung, the founding father of socialist Korea, embarked on the road of struggle for the country and people and founded the Juche Idea based on the principle of independence that the masters of the Korean revolution are the Korean people themselves.The foundation of the Juche idea, the guiding ideology of socialist Korea and the cause of global independence, is the most precious thing in the heritage President Kim Il Sung bequeathed to the Korean people and the progressive peoples of the world.The Juche idea, on the basis of a scientific elucidation that man is the master of the world and plays the decisive role in transforming the world, shows the way for the masses of the people, the motive force of history, to shape their own destiny by their own efforts.President Kim Il Sung authored the Juche idea in the course of the practical struggle of leading the Korean revolution.With this principle of independence, the President Kim Il Sung achieved the Korean national liberation after leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory and after the liberation he built an independent sovereign state by initiating and brilliantly implementing the Juche-based line of building the Party, State and Army.President Kim Il Sung put forward and implemented independent lines and policies thoroughly reflecting the aspirations and demands of the Korean people and detailed realities of the country during the whole period of leading the revolution and construction and thus developed the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) as an independent socialist nation.Guided by the Juche idea that man is the master of his own destiny and he also has the strength with which to shape his own destiny, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has consistently and firmly adhered to the line of independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defense.The self-supporting national economy built by President Kim Il Sung serves today as a precious asset in smashing straight the vicious blockade and sanctions by hostile forces on the strength of self-reliance.President Kim Il Sung actively supported the world national independence struggle in the colonies and their building of a new society and greatly contributed to the cause of global independence until his last days of life.In March 1981, the Tanzanian President Julius Kambarage Nyerere visited the DPRK. When he met President Kim Il Sung, he told him about the situation of agriculture in Tanzania and requested him for the DPRK government assistance in agricultural development. President Nyerere’s concern was irrigation of agriculture and water pumps in particular.President Kim Il Sung told his Tanzanian counterpart that he could help Tanzania with the building of a water pump factory and what he meant was that it was necessary for the African countries to get assistance but what was more important was that the African countries should follow the road of self-reliance, believing in their own strength.President Kim Il Sung encouraged Tanzania to be self-reliant by showing Tanzanian delegation the water pump factory and the experience of self-reliance achieved by the DPRK.The Juche idea, the most precious heritage of President Kim Il Sung, and his exploits will shine forever along with the victorious advance of the cause of global independence.The world progressive people admire and praise the DPRK for its ever-brilliant victories gained in its protracted and arduous road of the Korean revolution overcoming all challenges imposed by the hostile forces.Today the DPRK has built up its national strength under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.His appeal to his people to display the spirit of self-development inspires them to further efforts.It is remarkably well recognized that under the wise and energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un the DPRK people achieved brilliant success in socialist construction in 2021 amid increasing pressure and blockage imposed by hostile forces against the DPRK and world pandemic.The Juche idea followers in Tanzania and Africa are pleased to witness the successes gained by the DPRK people and sure that the DPRK people will achieve much more successes in building a powerful socialist nation in 2022.Under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, it is highly expected that the DPRK will emerge into the world stage as a strong and prosperous nation.
