There was the first meeting of the 25th convention of headquarters chairpersons of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on September 21-22.
It was attended by Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and director of its Organizational Department, Vice-chairmen Nam Sung U, Pae Jin Gu, Jo Il Yon, Song Kun Hak and So Chung On, the chairman of the Finance Committee, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee, members of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and headquarters chairpersons of Chongryon.
Present there as observers were councillors and deputy department directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and members of the Central Audit Committee.
Ho Jong Man made an opening address, followed by a report by Pak Ku Ho.
The reporter said that the important letter Let Us Open a New Era of Rejuvenation of Chongryon by Enlisting the Inexhaustible Strength of the Compatriots of Various Social Strata the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent to those attending the 25th Congress of Chongryon is an immortal encyclopedia for the movement of Koreans in Japan in the great Kim Jong Un era and a bright blueprint and action programme for victoriously opening up a new era of prosperous Chongryon.
The meeting is aimed at discussing and deciding on waging a great movement of the masses to carry out the tasks specified in the letter without fail and making the whole organization turn out in implementing them, he said.
Speeches were made by headquarters chiefs of Chongryon.
They emphasized the need to direct and subordinate all activities to implementing the tasks by bearing in mind the ideas, intentions and political trust of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Ho Jong Man made concluding remarks at the meeting.
