MUKHERJEE, in his article “The Social, Economic and Political Ideals of the Great President Kim Il Sung” (1983), President Kim Il Sung was described as one of the great philosophers of the world, illuminating the road for millions of people in the world struggling for independence, a messiah whom the world people held in high esteem.Now, the world is witnessing a dynamic struggle for achieving the independent development of all countries and nations by rejecting domination and subordination, establishing international relations based on independence and implementing democratization of the international society.This reality testifies the validity of the Juche idea.The Juche idea, recognized as a philosophy of independence, maintains that man is the master of his own destiny and he has the strength with which to hew it out. It correctly reflects the fundamental aspirations of mankind for independence and the trend of the times and provides scientific answers to the questions arising in carving out the destiny of countries and nations. Countries may vary in terms of territory, population and economic development, but there can never be senior and junior countries or those that should dominate others or be dominated. All of them are equal and independent. High-handedness and arbitrariness of specific countries cannot be tolerated in the international arena and every country and nation should exercise their rights to independence as members of the international society. Only in a new democratic and independent world the independence of all countries and nations can be fully realized.The new independent world clarified by the Juche idea is a world which is free from domination and subordination, interference and pressure, and aggression and plunder and where all countries and nations exercise their independent rights as masters of their own destiny. In other words, it is a world where a democratic international order that ensures complete equality, mutual respect and the exercise of sovereignty among countries is established and strictly observed. In this world every country will exercise its right to choose its own destiny on its own terms and cooperate with other countries on an equal footing for the interests common to mankind.In this world, the UN cannot be used as a means for implementing the high-handedness and arbitrariness of a specific country.The stand the DPRK government has maintained consistently, particularly its response to the sanctions the UN imposed upon the country for the exercise of its right to self-defence, is quite a courageous decision aimed at making a breakthrough in the current international order and establishing new independent international relations. The DPRK exposed that the UN resolutions were an outcome of the high-handedness of a specific country and declared that they were all null and void.The current international situation is mainly characterized by the fact that it has got more complicated as the structure of the international relations has been reduced to the structure of “neo-Cold War” due to the imperialists’ unilateral and prejudiced bloc-forming style external policy.Under the current international situation, strengthening international solidarity and cooperation based on independence is much more essential for rejecting the high-handedness and arbitrariness of the imperialists and dominationists and building a free and peaceful new world than ever before.Every country and nation has common interests in building an independent world.The Juche idea raises every country and nation as the motive force of their independent development and demands that they never tolerate any form of dominationism.Only when countries and nations that aspire after independence unite and cooperate with one another to build a new independent world, can they smash the challenges of the dominationists.When equality and trust based on independence is achieved in the international relations and high-handedness and arbitrariness eliminated in the international arena, the world will become democratized much faster.The principles set forth by the Juche idea, like resolutely smashing the high-handed policies of imperialism, strengthening unity and cooperation among the peoples who champion independence, advancing the non-aligned movement vigorously and fighting against the power policy of imperialism around the world, still serve as guidelines for consolidating the international unity of the anti-imperialist, independent forces.The cause of achieving global independence will advance continuously along with the Juche idea, overcoming all the trials and challenges of history.Indeed, the great exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung for the cause of achieving global independence will shine forever along with the Juche idea which is the forever banner for the Independent Cause of Humankind.The Korean peninsula issue is now a concern of the international community.This internet international seminar is being held amidst the great attention and expectation of Koreans, the East Asia Region and all the world progressive people.We hope it will indeed fortify further solidarity of the peoples of the region and the rest of the world in their struggle for independence and anti-imperialism, make progressive peoples over the world united and rallied as one against imperialism.In terms of peace and security you can ensure durable peace and security only when you are fully ready in dealing with any kind of threats from outside forces.Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK clarified in his commemorating speech at the opening ceremony of the Defence Development Exhibition “Self-Defence-2021” that the DPRK would continue to enhance its national defence capability as an invincible one.Having withstood the wrath of the western domination history, Africa now is working towards a new vision.
