Flower Bouquet to War Veteran

One evening in September, Ok Jin Sim, an actress of the Mansudae Art Troupe visited Ra Ui Chon, a war veteran living at people’s neighborhood unit No. 10 in Sonnae-dong, Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.

She, who had appeared on the stage of the grand performance for celebrating the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK with the national flag in her arms, presented a bouquet to the war veteran and said.

"You are my grateful teacher who led me till today."

Actually, she had close relation with the war veteran since a long time ago. She grew up listening to the recollections of the war veteran who bravely fought back enemies on Height 1 211 during the war.

Therefore, she had called on Ra ahead of others when she had received Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize and she had informed him before anyone else the news that she had been assigned to the Mansudae Art Troupe.

She used to make determinations before him not to fail to live up to the expectation of the former generations.

Ra, the war veteran looked at the bouquet meaningfully, cherishing the growth of the trustworthy rising generations brought up by the Party.

And he earnestly said "I wish you greater successes in your art creation and performing activities for the Party and motherland."

"Sister" of Youth Builders

A woman enjoys respect of the members of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade engaged in the construction of the 10 000 flats in Hwasong area.

She is Mun Jong Hwa, a worker of the Commission of State Inspection who serves as a member of night helpers’ shock brigade at the construction site.

Every night after a day’s work, she goes to the construction site and work until late night. Truth to tell, it is therefore no easy job for a woman to do so. However, she also takes warm care of the members of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade who are working with her.

She, even after working together with them till late night, always paid meticulous attention to the life and health of the youth shock brigade members and endeavored to help them even a little.

When the builders expressed thanks to her, she called upon them to bring earlier the day of completion.

The youth shock brigade members friendly call her "sister".

A Primary School Girl’s Way to School

Kim Sol Gyong is a teacher of Kilju Primary School in Kilju County.

Every morning she piggybacks Yun Yong Gyong, a crippled pupil to school.

In fact, Yun Yong Gyong was not able to stir out of the house due to her congenital disease. When she became old enough to go to school, her parents were grieved much more than before. At the time, some officials and teachers of Kilju Primary School visited her house and said that they would help Yong Gyong.

Since then, every early morning, Kim Sol Gyong used to go to Yong Gyong’s to piggyback her to school.

People are impressed to see the teacher and the crippled pupil on her back every morning.

Such beautiful story is unique to our socialist system.
