A seminar of social scientists took place at the Grand People’s Study House on Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s work "Our Social Sciences Should Actively Contribute to Accomplishing the Cause of Modeling Whole Society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism".
Present there were teachers, researchers and officials of the scientific and educational fields and party cadre training institutions.
Speeches were made by Jong Man Ho, vice-president of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Sung Chol, vice-rector of the University of National Economy, Han Myong Hwan, director of the Academy of Social Sciences, Tong Chol Min, vice-rector of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, and Ri Kum Su, vice-rector of Kumsong University of Politics. They referred to the validity and vitality of the idea and theory set forth in the work and the tasks and ways for social scientists.
They proved that the work of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un is an immortal programme indicating the road for the development of the Juche-based social science.
They said that the General Secretary clearly clarified it as a principled requirement of building social science to hold fast to the Juche-oriented methodology, combine theory with revolutionary practice and firmly adhere to the principle of historicism, thus making it possible to develop our social science into a revolutionary and popular one which is firmly based on the Juche-oriented and ideological stand and can truly contribute to accomplishing the cause of independence of the popular masses.
The work, which comprehensively indicates the detailed tasks and ways facing the social science field in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, is a great action programme that helps the social science of the DPRK make a leap forward higher and faster with clear goal and direction, they said.
They noted that it is the basic mission of the revolutionary social science and an important task of the social scientists emanating from the requirements of the times to thoroughly apply the idea and guidance of the leader in all fields of the revolution and construction and give scientific and theoretical answers to the practical problems for providing the popular masses with an independent and creative life.
They called for fulfilling the duty and responsibility of social scientists in the struggle to model the whole Party and society on the revolutionary idea of Kim Jong Un.
