Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun in an article on Friday says that for the people of the DPRK, victory is when they defend socialism whereas death is when they abandon it, stressing the socialist homeland is their cradle away from which they can not live even a moment.
Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses is what all the Korean people value as their lifeblood and are determined to defend and glorify even at the cost of their lives, says the article, and continues:
This socialism in which they are the masters of the state and society and everything serves them is regarded as valuable as their lives.
The people enjoy a genuine political life in our society unlike the exploiting society in the past when the people were subject to politics. In socialist society all the people are granted socio-political life and are in positions to glorify their dignity and honor as social beings.
Under this society the people create and fully enjoy social wealth as they benefit from their active economic life to which they devote creative ingenuity and passion as being owners of production means who are responsible for economic and business management.
In the field of ideological and cultural life, the people are also main players. They create advanced and progressive ideology and spirit and scientific and technological knowledge as well as ethical virtue and also fully enjoy the highly-civilized life as enjoyers of advanced culture.
Our people regard it as their due obligation and duty to trust, follow and defend for all ages the socialist system which shoulders the responsibility for their future.
Socialism has become an integral part of our people's life. As the people are ever-lasting, so is our style of socialism which has taken deep roots into their minds and which is cherished as their life and soul by them. -0-
