The entire Korean people significantly celebrated the lunar New Year's Day of Juche 112(2023).
A lot of people visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state. They paid a noble tribute to the great leaders, looking up at their smiling portraits.
Merry laughter and songs were heard from houses and flats of wonderful villages and new streets built one after another in this country.
Artistes of each province gave performances on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day. They reflected the uncommon pride and honour of the Korean people who are advancing indomitably and constantly, full of confidence in victory and optimism, along the road of their own choice in firm unity around the great Workers' Party of Korea.
Working people were served with traditional foods at the public catering establishments across the country including the Okryu Restaurant in Pyongyang, the Kyongam Restaurant in Sariwon City of North Hwanghae Province and the Sinhung Restaurant in Hamhung of South Hamgyong Province.
People enjoyed themselves at the Central Zoo, the Munsu Water Park and the People's Open-Air Ice Rink.
Roast chestnuts and sweet potatoes were sold at the outdoor stalls in different places of the capital city, making the landscape of the holiday more conspicuous.
