Forestry officials and workers are working hard to hit the goal of timber production decided at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Officials of the Ministry of Forestry and the Provincial Forestry Management Bureaus have strengthened their own material and technical foundations and taken specific measures to carry out this year's production plans while keeping balance between the timber production and the forest creation.
Active efforts are made to lay solid foundation for production and normalize the production of accessories at the forestry machine factories.
Practical measures are put into practice to push ahead with the construction and readjustment of forest railways and install new cableways or install them in other places and thus increase the timber-carrying capacity.
Positive efforts are also made to create seed-gathering forests with great economic effectiveness and develop sapling growth promoter and insecticide.
