Neighborhood Unit No. 13, Kumsong-dong No. 2 in Mangyongdae District is well known for its harmony.
One day in January members of the neighborhood unit visited a couple of war veterans living in Room No. 3 on the 10th floor, because it was the birthday of a war veteran.
As time passed, the number of visitors to congratulate birthday of the war veteran continued to increase.
Singing voices were resounded from their house for a long time.
Such events have been common occurrence in that unit.
When there was a wedding ceremony in a family a few months ago, all the members of the unit devoted their sincerity while rejoicing as their own.
They prepared souvenirs and fragrant flowers for congratulating them.
That was not all.
Upon hearing the news that a disabled soldier, who lives in the same unit, was ill, an old person Han Kil Suk provided him with materials for tonics and when the son of Room No. 1 on the 11th floor studying in local university came to his house because of vacation, Han took warm care of his life on behalf of his late parents.
There is no end to those beautiful stories.
Therefore, those inhabitants in the unit said that the gladness and merry laughter came to not only neighborhood unit but also every house only when sharing sincerity each other and deepening the harmony and they could have honor of thrice July 11 Red Flag Neighborhood Unit of Loyalty in the course of helping and leading one another forward when all the members of the neighborhood unit while living like full brothers.
Through such prides filled in the harmonious neighborhood unit, we can feel the noble mental world of our people who deepen harmony while helping and leading one another forward in difficulties.
