Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- At a time when the grand advance for the prosperity and development of our great state and the well-being of our people is being accelerated under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, people's assemblies took place in Pyongyang and South Hwanghae, Kangwon, South Hamgyong and other provinces of the DPRK.
Present there were deputies to the provincial people's assemblies, and officials of the provincial people's committees, chairpersons of city and county people's committees and officials concerned attended the assemblies as observers.
The provincial people's assemblies analyzed and reviewed the successes, experience and deviations in the work of the people's committees last year, and the reports and speeches were made on the tasks for this year and local budget for thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The agenda items on the regional economic development and improvement of the people's living standard were presented and the organizational matters discussed.
The assemblies adopted relevant decisions under the sincere discussion of deputies. -0-
