Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- True to the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Agricultural Commission of the DPRK directs efforts to putting the production of hothouse vegetables on a scientific and intensive basis.
After setting it as a goal to prefect the intelligent integrated production system at Jungphyong and Ryonpho greenhouse farms, the commission has pushed ahead with the preparations.
It also ensures that new vegetable seeds and technical specification and multimedia programs are provided for the greenhouse vegetable production units to manure and tend vegetables in line with technical requirements.
It is popularizing the successes and experience of the units growing tasty and quality vegetable fruits with high productivity and highly nutritious functional vegetables.
Officials of the commission went to greenhouse farms with scientists in the relevant field so as to solve the problems arising in putting the production of hothouse vegetables on an intensive basis and train technicians and skilled workers through sci-tech lectures.
The commission has paid attention to providing the vegetable production units with the conditions for producing vegetables in a scientific and intensive way in winter, too. -0-
