Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on Tuesday met and had a photo session with the activists in the traits of assisting the army who were invited to the celebrations of the 75th birthday of the Korean People's Army (KPA) as special delegates and have spent significant days in Pyongyang.

Those activists were greatly excited and delighted to have a photo of glory taken with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un whom they always wish to see, after participating in the celebrations of the Day of Army Founding held splendidly in his presence to keenly realize the grand demonstration of the military force reliably guaranteeing the eternal security and prosperity of our great state and enjoying supreme happiness, that would be kept as a precious memory for their life, under the special care of the Party Central Committee.

When Kim Jong Un arrived, all the participants burst into cheers of emotion with tears in their eyes, looking up to the great father who specially invited them, though they have performed their bounden duties for the motherland, to the greatest political and military festival held as a grand auspicious event of the whole country and repeatedly showed deep loving care and benevolence to be conveyed down through generations.

Warmly waving back to the enthusiastically cheering participants, he extended warm encouragement and gratitude to the activists in the traits of assisting the army who have devoted their pure conscience and patriotic sincerity to the strengthening of the revolutionary armed forces invariably in good times and bad times, sharing blood ties with the military posts for national defence.

He said that every victorious advance of our revolutionary armed forces is deeply associated with the valuable contributions and efforts of the genuine patriots who accepted the Party's line of building a powerful army and policy of giving priority to the military affairs as the absolute truth and the foremost requirement of their living and have served as a foundation for realizing the great cause for a thriving country with powerful army.

He highly appreciated the lofty mental world of the activists in the traits of assistance to the army, saying that they have assisted the army in silence with the noble consciousness that they are defending the outposts of defending the country together with the servicepersons, after making their children stand in the defence lines despite all difficulties, as they are well aware that the building of a powerful nation can be unthinkable without the powerful national defence and that assisting the army is the most vivid expression of patriotism.

The spirit cherished by the activists in the traits of assisting the army is the indomitable and strong sentiment of the women in Namgang Village in the 1950s, who made their way for aiding the war front under the severe gunfire, and it is also the steady inheritance of the great patriotic spirit displayed by those in the Chollima era, who built the country's fences as an impregnable fortress on the ruins of war, thinking of the state affairs before their household affairs, he said, adding that this spirit should be put above all as an example to be followed by all in the present struggle for the comprehensive development of socialist construction.

Saying that the trial experienced to defend the war victory for 70 years is costlier than the trial experienced to win the war, he earnestly said that the 70-year history of the great war victory could be glorified thanks to their ardent loyalty devoted to the long course of cementing the overwhelming strength of the DPRK in every way.

Expressing expectation that the activists in the traits of assisting the army would continue to glorify their worthwhile life as a paragon patriot in further elevating the traits of assistance to the army, national custom peculiar to Juche Korea, under the uplifted slogan of our army-first principle, he had a photo session with them.

Kim Jong Un waved back for a long time to the activists in the traits of assisting the army with tears of emotion rolling down their cheeks.

Saying that he will invite again as special delegates these activists in the traits of assisting the army to the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the war victory to be specially recorded in the history of the country, he warmly wished all of them in good health.

Warmly blessed by him, all the participants were full of ardent enthusiasm to devote themselves entirely to the worthwhile work of assisting the army for the strengthening and development of the KPA, the invincible heroic army which is the pride and honor of our Party, state and people, cherishing deep in their mind the immutable truth that the rosy future and victory of socialism, our dignity and lifeblood, are guaranteed by invincible arms.
